A jam-packed courtroom on Wednesday morning saw a Lima man take a plea on murder charges- at a court session that was originally scheduled to be for arraignment only.

28 year-old Antwan Secession faced charges in the shooting death of 53 year-old Gregory Stewart at a Harrison Street residence in the early morning hours of October 5th.

Secession read from a prepared statement before he was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison by Judge Richard Warren.

Assistant Allen County Prosecutor Dan Berry explained details of the crime- which surrounded a drug deal that turned violent.

Secession will also serve a mandatory 3 year sentence on the firearm charge- before the 15 years to life sentence begins.
