Lima City Council met before the Thanksgiving holiday on Monday night.
Council received further clarification from Utilities Director Gary Sheely- on the issue of the city going to a flat rate for sewer billing- for residential and business customers.
Sheely said the rates will go up over a 9 year period for residents- and over 10 years for businesses and industries.
Council passed the ordinance dealing with the sewer rates by an 8 to nothing vote.
