Shawnee Township officials will take over Police- Street Department- and other services.

During a press conference yesterday- Shawnee Township Trustee- Dave Belton and Fort Shawnee Mayor- Pete Mariotti announced that as of 12:01am on Saturday, the Village of Fort Shawnee will officially be dissolved.
Shawnee Township officials will take over Police- Street Department- and other services.
Both men have been working with Chief Project Manager- Belinda Miller- and they say that full dissolution of the "fort" could be wrapped up at the end of the year.
