Lima City Council of the whole met for a special session last night regarding charter changes that deal with re-organization of the Auditor’s office.
They went into executive session for close to an hour and a half- and when they came out- they had agreed to consider legislation at their next meeting to make the Auditor’s position a full time position- with a salary of up to 90-thousand dollars a year.
Gene Reaman is currently the part time Auditor- but he is retiring after his term- which ends in 2013.
Members of council believe that the job is too important to just be a part time position.
