The State Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a vehicle and pedestrian traffic crash on Thursday- on Glynwood Road just west of the Wapakoneta city limits.
The State Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a vehicle and pedestrian traffic crash on Thursday- on Glynwood Road just west of the Wapakoneta city limits.
A Black 20-12 Ford was driven by 19 year old Zachary Myers of Wapakoneta- and he was heading eastbound on Glynwood Road when 90 year old Carolyn Blackburn- walked directly into the vehicle’s path.
Blackburn received life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene..
Speed is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
It is believed that Blackburn may have been retrieving her mail from her roadside mailbox.
