Rescue crews received the call just before 3am on Tuesday.

Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a car accident early New Year's Day morning on Miami River Road.

Rescue crews received the call just before 3am on Tuesday.

A car lost control on the icy roadways- and ended up striking a tree.

The driver of the Jeep was 29 year-old Ryan Evans.

A passenger- 21 year-old Brittany Elliot- was able to walk away and call for help.

Evans was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in serious condition.
