Truck Fire on I-75, 2 Separate Bus Crashes Take Place on Mon

A tractor-trailer fire on Interstate 75 just before 11am on Monday morning slowed traffic in the snowy conditions.

The truck driver was 54 year-old Par-shot Sharm of Brampton, Ontario, Canada, was taken to Lima Memorial for minor injuries.

The tanker driver was 68 year-old Robert Passig of Niles, Michigan, who was also taken to Lima Memorial.

The wintry weather may have led to 2 separate bus crashes in the region on Monday.

In Van Wert County, a car drove into a school bus on Monday afternoon after the bus driver failed to yield at an intersection.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol Post in Van Wert is investigating that crash that took place in Pleasant Township.

In Logan County, an Indian Lake School District bus rolled over.

That bus accident happened around 4 p.m. along Township Road 88 in Lakeview.

No injuries were reported there.
