Members of Lima City Council’s Neighborhood Concerns Committee met last night- and recommended partnering with the Humane Society of Allen County to solve the city’s excess cat problems.

City funds will be used within the city limits.
It will be classified as a trap-neuter- and return program- meaning the animals would be returned to areas where they are picked up- but they would no longer be able to reproduce.
The committee voted to set aside 10-thousand dollars for a 1 year period for the plan.
Council of the whole will take up the issue at their next full meeting.
