Lima Council Approves Measure to go Forward with Stray Cat Solution

The city will provide a one time 10-thousand dollar contribution to the Humane Society- that will help round up stray cats- spay or neuter them- then put them back where they were originally picked up.

During last night’s Lima City Council meeting- an ordinance was passed on its first reading that will allow the mayor to enter into contract with the Humane Society regarding the growing stray cat problem.

The city will provide a one time 10-thousand dollar contribution to the Humane Society- that will help round up stray cats- spay or neuter them- then put them back where they were originally picked up.

The ordinance passed on a seven to one vote- with President John Nixon being the one vote against the measure.
