Lima Mayor Dave Berger's campaign for re-election released a statement earlier this week- bringing into question the exact residency of the man who will be challenging him for the job- Doug Vermillion.
Earlier this month- the Board of Elections approved Vermillion's name and address- as he filed official paperwork to run for mayor.
Mayor Berger said everyone that knows Vermillion knows his home is on Elida Road near Delphos- and not within the city limits.
We caught up with Vermillion on Wednesday- and asked him the point blank question.
Lima's city charter states that a mayor must be a resident of the city- but does not mention an exact length of time that residency should be established.
