Lima City Council’s Public Works Committee met last night and continued the discussion about the need for downtown Streetscape Maintenance.
It came down to the absence of one committee member- a motion by one council member- but no second from the other council member- that has stalled the decision.
The motion made by Theresa Adams was to release 30-thousand dollars set back for the Streetscape Maintenance project for one year- to allow two city workers to maintain the streetscape- but the boundaries of the four square quadrants was where the disagreement came.
1st Ward Councilor- Kurt Neeper- explained the reason he decided not to support the motion.
A future meeting regarding the project will take place- possibly next week.
