A minivan driven by 56 year-old John Clark, of Huron, was westbound on U-S 6 near Helena around when he crossed the center line and struck an eastbound sport-utility vehicle driven by 49 year-old Carlla Dixon-Bowers of Lima.
Dixon-Bowers was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt.
Clark was flown by medical helicopter to a Toledo hospital, where he died. He was wearing a seat belt.
Two passengers in Clark's minivan, Cynthia Clark and Jennifer Clark, were taken to FremontMemorialHospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash, which closed U-S 6 for three hours, is under investigation.
